Before you ask coach Mike or Myself to do extra credit make sure you first ask yourself if you gave it 100% in the workout. If the answer is no, then you do not need to do extra credit. If the answer is yes and you still want to do extra credit, then go for it. People automatically think by simply doing more is going to get them the results. Most forget that results are gotten by intensity, not volume. So instead of doing the workout and extra credit at about 85-90% of your effort (which is still pretty high), you will be better off just giving it 100% on the regular workout with no extra work added.
